IBPO 673 Supported Charities and Community Involvement
 
The following is a list of Charities supported by IBPO Local 673 and some community projects we are involved in.  IBPO Local 673 continues to champion worthy causes and is proud to support charities and projects locally in Hamilton County.  100% of all money raised stays in Hamilton County and the Chattanooga area, and goes directly to the benefit of the community.  Check out the photos of our events by clicking here, or going to our Photo Galleries page!
 
 
Shop With A Cop (Back to School)

IBPO Local 673 is proud to personally provide support to needy Hamilton County school children.  Selcted children are paired up with an officer and taken shopping for various items needed for school, including clothes and supplies.  Contact us for more information on how to nominate or sponsor a student.

 

 

 

Cars for Kids


Once a year, Harrison Lodge #114 Free and Accepted Masons hosts "Cars For Kids", a car, truck and motorcycle show, and donates 100% of the proceeds to Special Education programs for children in Hamilton County Schools.  IBPO Local 673 is a proud supporter through donations and assistance, and we join Harrison Lodge in thanking everyone for helping us help these children who otherwise would come up short on materials, supplies and other things that they will need for the upcoming school year!  This years event will be held at Brown Middle School on May 29.  For more info, click HERE.
 
 
Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.)

Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty as determined by Federal criteria.  Furthermore, C.O.P.S. provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.  IBPO Local 673 is proud to support C.O.P.S.  For more information, click HERE.
 
 
Chattanooga Area Food Bank

Julie Jacks Memorial Scholarship


The Julie Jacks Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to memorialize the name of a courageous Chattanooga Police Officer. Julie tragically lost her life in the line of duty on May 6, 2002 , while valiantly serving and protecting the citizens of Chattanooga and Hamilton County. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a qualifying student whose parent or guardian is in good standing as a police officer with the Chattanooga Police Department or in the absence of a qualified applicant from this source, consideration shall be given to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department and all municipal law enforcement agencies within Hamilton County .
